Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Velaura is a calm coloring and creative studio app for iPad, published by the Velaura team (“we”, “us”). For anything in this policy, you can reach us at privacy@velaura.app.

2. The default: no account, no collection

Velaura works fully without an account. In this default mode, your artwork, imported images, preferences, and settings are stored locally on your device using on-device storage. They are not transmitted to us, and we cannot see them.

3. Data we collect if you choose to sign in

Signing in is optional and only needed for a public profile, cross-device sync, or sharing artwork to the community Showcase. If you create an account, we collect:

• Account information. An account identifier and the email address provided by your sign-in method. Supported methods may include Sign in with Apple, Google, or an email sign-in link. With Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email address.
• Profile details you add. An optional display name, username, avatar, and short profile text. These are visible to others only if you take part in the Showcase.
• Content you choose to publish or sync. Artwork you publish to the Showcase, including its title and caption, and — if you enable sync — artwork you choose to back up. Work you keep private on your iPad is not uploaded.
• Community interactions. Reactions and comments you leave on published artwork.

Account data and synced or published content are stored with our backend infrastructure provider (currently Supabase) on our behalf.

4. Subscriptions and purchases

Optional Premium and Premium Plus memberships are purchased through Apple and billed to your Apple ID. Apple processes the payment; we never receive your payment details. To validate your membership, our subscription service (currently RevenueCat) processes a pseudonymous app user identifier and your purchase state. Apple’s own handling of your data is described in Apple’s privacy policy.

5. Analytics, advertising, and tracking

Velaura contains no advertising, no third-party analytics SDKs, and no tracking across other companies’ apps or websites. We do not sell or share personal information for advertising. Standard technical logs (such as crash or error information from the operating system, if you have enabled sharing with developers in iPadOS) may reach us in aggregate, without identifying you.

6. Children and families

Velaura is designed to be family-friendly and usable without an account, so children can color without any data being collected. Community features such as the Showcase require an account, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us at privacy@velaura.app and we will delete it.

7. How long we keep data

Local data stays on your device until you delete it or remove the app. Account data is kept while your account is active. When you delete your account, your cloud profile and associated content are removed from active systems promptly, with residual copies in backups deleted on a rolling basis within a reasonable period.

8. Deleting your account and data

You can delete your account at any time, in two ways:

• In the app: Settings → Account → Delete account.
• By email: write to privacy@velaura.app from the address linked to your account.

Deletion removes your cloud profile, published artwork, and synced content. Artwork saved locally on your iPad remains on your device and under your control. See Data Access & Deletion for the full process.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. We honor reasonable requests from everyone regardless of region — email privacy@velaura.app and we will help. We may need to verify the request came from the account’s owner.

10. Security

Synced and published data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored with access controls. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we design Velaura so that the most personal thing — your creative work — can simply stay on your device.

11. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its “Last updated” date. For meaningful changes we will note it in the app or on this site.
